Great Tokaido Series: #30 Hamamatsu Artist: Hiroshige I Format: Oban yoko-e: 9.25" x 14.5" Subject: Hamamatsu in Winter time. A party of coolies are warming themselves before a bonfire, a traveller with a pipe looking on. Across the paddy fields behind them can be seen the castle with the village spreading out beside it. One of the best plates from the set. Publisher: Hoeido Date: 1834 Condition: Good colors. Re-margined on left. Some expert restorations. Minor marks and flaws. Generally quite good state of preservation. Impression: Good impression.
