Koitsu, Tsuchiya- Teahouse - Yotsuya Arakicho- Full28.jpg: Monday, 17 October 2005 You are bidding on a Japanese woodblock print signed by Tsuchiya Koitsu (1870-1949). The print size is 15 x 10 inches. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers. The artist’s signature and his chop stamp are at the lower left corner of the print. Four borders are intact. In the lower right border, is written the title of this woodblock print and January Showa 10, which is 1935. This woodblock print is attached to an original Japanese Washi backing paper only at the very small tip of the upper right corner so that strong ink bleeding can be seen through the back of original Japanese Washi paper. Except for a 2 mm foxing band at the outer upper border edge due to the print’s age, which does not affect the images at all, this woodblock print is in excellent condition.
