Koitsu, Tsuchiya- Teahouse - Yotsuya Arakicho- Full25.jpg: Thursday, 1 September 2005 This beautiful original color woodblock by Koitsu (1870-1949) features two female figures at the doorway of a teahouse, one entering and one waiting on the walk. The colors are beautiful and the print is in excellent condition with no toning, tears or foxing. The print is adhered with a bit of glue at the left margin to a paper mat. Japanese characters are seen in the margin lower right and in the image lower left. Also lower left in the image is seen a red stamp that signifies that the print was published by Doi Hangaten. This print is listed at Koitsu.com as done originally in 1935 and titled "Teahouse (2)."
