Description:
This is a lovely woodblock print by shin hanga printmaker Tsuchiya Koitsu; it is one of his signature pieces, entitled Tomonotsu at Seta. It bears the 6mm Watanabe publisher's seal, indicating an early postwar printing, likely from the mid to late 1940s. Signed and sealed lower right. The print measures about 14 1/2 x 9 1/2 plus full margins. There are a couple of small tape remnants in the reverse margins.
