Tsuchiya Koitsu (Japanese 1870-1949) … "Oban" 14 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches (approx.) color woodblock print … Signed with artist's signature and seal lower right … Titled/Dated lower right margin "Evening at Ushigome, 1936" …Publisher: Doi Hangaten…(Note: This is a later printing with NO publisher's seal. Probably 1970s/80s) … Deckled edges Top and Left … Condition: Excellent. No rips, tears, scratches. No toning or fading. Some old tape marks on reverse top. A very clean and exteamly bright and colorful impression … Koitsu was noted for his dramatic use of light and shadow in his print work. Although this is a later edition of this image, it is quite beautiful no-the-less in GREAT condition.
