Rainy Season at Ryoshimachi, Shinegawa, 1931 Kawase Hasui (1883 ? 1957) A wonderful scene of an afternoon rain at Ryoshimachi. The setting is perfect, the quaint bridge over the water, classic old houses in the town and two women conversing. The figures are highlighted with brighter colors in a classic Hasui touch- beautiful.
