36 Flowers of Edo Series: #4 Artist: Toshikata Format: Aiban tate-e: 12.75" x 8.5" Subject: Catching fireflies. A delightful night scene with a bijin and her manservant at a firefly catching party. Date: c. 1890 Condition: Fine colors. Album backing paper. Slight rubbing and light creases. Minor toning, soils, marks and flaws. Generally good state. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage and burnishing.
