Snowy Miyajima, 1929 Kawase Hasui (1883 ? 1957) Snowy Miyajima The famous red torri at Miyajima in the water during a snowfall. The colors are brilliantly combined with the bright red torri standing in contrast to the shimmering blue water and white snow. Hasui’s design of the torri reflection in the water is a classic touch. This great print evokes the beauty of some of Japan’s famous sites and offers the viewer a sense of the awe inspiring places in Japan.
