Snowfall at Kiyomizu Temple, Kyoto, 1950 Kawase Hasui (1883 ? 1957) Snowfall at Kiyomizu Temple, Kyoto This fantastic Hasui snow scene shows the massive temple structure in the foreground under the roof overhang and the impressive balconies of the main temple beyond. Hasui’s simple color palette with the exception of the two umbrellas is a classic shin-hanga touch.
