Description:
Another unframed Japanese woodblock print showing a scene from the Tale of Genji and dating from the Meiji Era. The Kunisada print is probably from a larger suite of prints showing various scenes from the Tale. The print is attached at the sides to a similar type of paper which might indicate that it was intended to be or was part of an album of prints. Strong, fresh colors, gauffrage background, good bleed. Very good condition. 14 x 9 1/2 inches.
