Description:
Colour woodblock print, oban triptych from an album of 117 sheets. The kabuki actors Sawamura Tanosuke II as the courtesan Takao (Keisei Takao) (right sheet), Bando Mitsugoro III as Inugami Danpachi with one foot treading on a giant rat (centre), and Matsumoto Koshiro V as (Fuwa) Banzaemon (left sheet); in the play 'Fuwa Nagoya yuki no dategasa' by Shinoda Kinji I performed at the Nakamura-za in the 11th month of 1816.
