Description:
Colour woodblock print, oban triptych from an album of 117 sheets. From right, the kabuki actors Bando Mitsugoro III as Dozaemon Denkichi, Iwai Hanshiro V as Oshichi and Onoe Eizaburo I as Kichisaburo, all standing below branches of flowering plum blossom; in the play ‘Sono mukashi koi no Edozome’ by Sakurada Jisuke I; performed at the Morita-za in the 3rd month of 1809.
