Scene from the kabuki play 'Soga kyodai', with the actors (from right to left): Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Sasano Gonzo, h)olding a stand in one hand and a sword in the other; Ichikawa Kodanji IV as Shirai Gonpachi, standing beneath a plum tree, his hand reaching for his sword, and Onoe Kikujiro VIII as Yaeume, daughter of Sukedayu, holding a cup on a tray with a masked figure standing behind.
