Woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e.. Scene from the kabuki play 'Shinzo Tsurifune kidan'. The kabuki actor Bando Shuka as O-kaji, wife of Danshichi (left), leaning over a fallen man and pointing a sword at a bloodied Seki Sanjuro as the old hag, wife of Giheiji of Mikawa-cho (right), amidst heavy rain.
