Description:
Colour woodblock print, left sheet of an oban diptych. The kabuki actor Ichikawa Ebizo V as Obiya Choemon, crouching with an open wallet, in the play ‘Gochumon shusu no obiya’ (御註文繻子帯屋); performed at the Kawarasaki-za in the 3rd month of 1840 (Tenpo 11).
