Left of set of three. The Osaka courtesan reads a love letter while her kamuro holding in her right hand a red lacquer cup upon a small stand and in her left a bronze kettle, is waiting to serve sake to her mistress. The kamuro in this design transgresses traditional depictions by directly engaging the viewer's gaze.
