Description:
Station 53 Kusatsu from the 53 Stations of the Tokaido series by Kunisada and Hiroshige. Kunisada designed the figures in the foreground (often popular kabuki actors), Hiroshige the landscapes in the upper part of the prints. Here the rainy background is so characteristic of Hiroshige.
