Description:
Koitsu Raisonne code TK-DH-5. This is an original pre-war edition printed by the publisher Iida Kunitaro. We believe Iida was commissioned by Doi Sadaichi to print several scenes for a short time around circa 1937, when Doi Sadaichi was in some difficulty (see the Koitsu Raisonne for further details). Printed by Sakakura. The seals read as follows: （１）Publisher name in upper rectangle of left margin: Hanken Shoyuu (Copy Right) "版権所有" IIDA KUNITAROU ”飯田國太郎” （２）Lower right side as Seisaku Shunin ”制作主任”(production chief): HIRAI ”平井” （３）Lower left side as Suri ”摺” (carver):SAKAKURA ”坂倉” HIRAI (as Hirai Koichi ”平井 孝一（市）”) was active pre-war, and SAKAURA (as Sakakura Seijirou ”坂倉 清次郎”) was active as a skillful printer both in the pre-war and post-war period, and who died in 1962 at his age 81.
