Description:
This is a genuine original shin hanga Japanese woodblock print by Hiroshi Yoshida (1876-1950) titled "Sumida River - Afternoon", dated Taisho 15 (1926), titled in English & kanji, and pencil signed by the artist. This is a genuine pencil signed period piece and not a posthumous restrike . The print is in very good condition and has Yoshida's red jizuri seal (translation "self-printed" or "printed by myself"). Fine impression, very good color and registration. No foxing, toning, folds or creases. The print is not setdown or trimmed. The upper right margin corner has been repaired for paper loss. This does not affect the image. Image size is 9.75" x 14.75", paper size is 11" x 16".
