This is a genuine woodblock not an art reproduction, titled "Kashiwara Shrine" by Koitsu. Oban size(10.4X 15.6) Dated 1939(showa 14)This is a very early production. I bought this from a seller in Japan. I was told by the seller that the writing on the cover page is written right to left. This would indicate that it was pre-War (before1945). The print is mounted in a presentation folder with a tissue cover. The tissue cover has a substantial tear clearly visible. Other wise this is a beautiful print. There is also a 'mat' cover which is shown lifted in one of the pictures. The bright colors are evident and Bokashi in the trees is strong. This is one of Koitsu nicest woodblocks.
