Description:
Koitsu-Kashiwara Shrine- 2.jpg is: This is a gorgeous woodblock print by noted shin hanga printmaker Tsuchiya Koitsu. Excellent color and impression. It measures about 9 3/4 x 14 1/4 plus margins. Never framed, excellent condition. There is a very small amount of mounting residue in the upper reverse margin, where the print was held to its original presentation folder, no longer present. Many of Koitsu's prints were published by Doi or Watanabe; this one, I believe, was published by Isetatsu. It would therefore be an early printing, as Isetatsu has been out of business since just after WWII.
