36 Flowers of Edo Series: #2 Artist: Toshikata Format: Aiban tate-e: 12.75" x 8.5" Subject: A lady poet sitting in the doorway of her house in the fall. Behind her the Fall colors of a Acer Palmatum (Japanese Maple) Date: c. 1890 Condition: Fine colors. Signs of a previous matting on verso. Trimmed. Slight rubbing. Minor toning, soils, marks and flaws. Generally very good state. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage, metallic pigment and burnishing.
