Saturday, 24 June 2006 Thirty-six Images of Female Beauty: #1 Artist: Toshikata Format: Oban tate-e: 14.75" x 10" approx Subject: A bijin seated on the engawa of a house, watching the flight of a Cuckoo against a cloudy moon. Inscribed at top in a Victorian hand 'Enkyo (1744-1747)'. Publisher: Akiyama Buemon Date: 1893 Condition: Full size with large margins. A crease in right margin. Minor marks and flaws. Generally very good state. Colour: Fine with metallic pigments. Impression: Fine Estimated Value: ｣150 - ｣200
