The Story of Genji: # 48 Artist: Kunisada Format: Chuban tate-e: 10" x 7" Subject: A young messenger boy bringing a basket full of bracken and a letter from Prince Genji to his mistress. Publisher: Sanoki Date: c. 1850 Condition: Slightly trimmed. A small damage top left. Slight toning. Minor soils, marks and flaws. Generally good state. Colour: Fine colors. Impression: Very good impression with gauffrage and lacquer.
