Friday, 21 October 2005 Title White Wine Seller kuchi-e Artist Keishu Takeuchi 1861-1942 Seal artist's seal (keishu) Dated 1907 Publisher Bungei Kurabu Technique/Medium Woodblock print Impression very good Colors very good Condition good … slight soil and creases, two horizontal folds usual for kuchi-e, 3 worm track (pin size - 1/2 inch long) on the middle right, several needle size worm holes on the lower left margin, album backing (Meiji) partially removed. Description Shop keeper selling "Shiro-zake" (sweet white sake wine). Illustration for a novel "Shiro-zake Uri" in Bungei Kurabu magazine, vol.13, no.4.
