Kawase- Evening Glow in Spring, Toshogu Shrine, Ueno- 2.jpg is: We are selling this vintage woodblock out of the estate of a Japanese family. Wonderfully simple yet bold image of a pagoda with cherry blossoms in the foreground. We made a brief effort at attempting to identify the artist without any success. Nonetheless, it is a fine old woodblock (we think it is probably a 1940s printing based on the family history) with good bleedthrough and it was found unframed and safely stored. There are two, understandable pinholes in the left-side border but no holes in the image area. No stains, no toning on the edges, etc. The seal in the lower left corner is 6mm which will help you estimate age of woodblock.
