Muller Estate - first edition Artist Shiro Kasamatsu 1898-1992 Signature Shiro Seal artist's seal Dated 1938 Publisher Watanabe Technique/Medium Woodblock print Impression excellent … first edition printing. Colors excellent - very good … fine gradation for the mist, "baren" works to indicate the clouds and rains. Condition excellent - very good … slight toning, a pin size hole on the left margin, a brown spot on the left margin edge. Description "Kinokunizaka Bai'u" Kinokunizaka Hill in the rainy season in June. Note Watanabe copyright seal-C for 1929-42. Provenance: Robert O. Muller Collection, "Made in Japan" stamped on verso.
