Hiroshige 魚づくしより ぼらにうど Has a bid of 800 pounds! Large Fish Series: The Grey Mullet Artist: Hiroshige I Format: Oban yoko-e: 10" x 14.5" Subject: A large grey mullet (bora, mugil Japonicus) lying, head to right, on sprays of Camellia flowers, and a pink root; narrow pink band above, gradated blue at base. Mica on fish scales. Two verses above, one (translated in BM Catalogue) 'How amusing to see on Tago coast the mullet slide down the slope of Fuji's reflection in the water'.
