Description:
Colour woodblock print, oban. The fifth sheet from a polyptych from an album of 117 sheets. The kabuki actor Ichikawa Danjuro VII as Soga no Goro Tokimune, with sword; from an unstaged scene (‘mitate’) depicting the Soga brothers’ confrontation, (‘Soga no taimen’).
