Description:

Woodblock print, oban tate-e. A witch, with candles on her head and a mirror hanging from her neck, about to drive nails into a straw doll attached to a tree while a ghostly figure looms behind (possibly a night conjuration), a tribute to 88-year-old sculptor Oishi Ganryusai Yoshihiro, whose name is the title of the print with the sub-title Furyu onna Rokkasen (modern women as the six poets).
