Woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e. A scene from the kabuki play 'Oto-no-Miya Asai No Yoroi'. The kabuki actor Onoe Kikugoro IV as Hanazono (right), the wife of Umeto, who is on her knees pleadign with Nakamura Utaemon IV as Saito Tarozaemon in court robes and cap holding a lantern (left).
