Woodblock diptych print, oban tate-e. A scene from the kabuki performance of the Satomi Hakkenden at the Ichimura theater in the First month of Kaei 5 (1852). The kabuki actor Bando Shuka (right) in the role of Inuzuka Shino battling Seki Sanjuro (left) as Inukai Kenpachi on the roof of the Horyukaku temple.
