Colour woodblock print, oban. The kabuki actor Ichikawa Yaozo III as Umeomaru in Act III, scene 1, ‘Kuruma-biki’, from the play ‘Sugawara denju tenarai kagami’ by Takeda Izumo II, Miyoshi Shoraku and Namiki Senryu, performed at the Miyako-za in the 7th month of 1796.
