Description:
Colour woodblock print, oban diptych from an album of 117 sheets. The kabuki actors (right sheet) Onoe Baiko III (below) as Taka? Nakanojo? Tamemura and Ichikawa Sukezo as the young lord Tsuruchiyomaru, with (left sheet) Nakamura Utaemon III (below) as Izumi Gekizaemon Masanaga and Onoe Matsusuke III as Masanaga's son Senmatsu (Masanaga segare Senmatsu) in the play 'Date moyo Soga no hinagata' by Fukumori Kyusuke I, performed at the Nakamura-za in the 1st month of 1815.
