From the series "Tsuki Hyakushi" ("One Hundred Aspects of the Moon"); No. 9 : "Ugo no Sangetsu". Soga Goro Tokimune, one of the Soga Brothers, looks up the flying "hototogisu" (its cry was believed to call the spirits to the next world, a symbol of the transience of life) before his final battle.
