From "Kabuki Juhachi-ban no Uchi" ("Eighteen Kabuki Plays"). Master carpenter Hidari Jingoro (played by Ichikawa Danjuro). His statues were so life-like that the legend said that when some burglars sneaked into his house, the wooden statues of Kongo Rikishi and lion came to life and chased away the intruders.
