"Kinsei Jinbutsu Shi" (Chronicles about the People of Today) This print was made for the insert no.23 for Yamato Newspaper. It depicts kabuki actor Nakamura Shikan and his wife playing shamisen and Koto. The claws that Shikan is wearing on his fingers are for striking threads of koto.
