Description:

From Sugakudo's best known series, "Sho Utsushi Shiju-hachi Taka" (Exact Reproductions of Forty-eight Hawks). No. 38. A bird and flowers. Sugakudo was a highly regarded pupil of Hiroshige for his kacho-ga. Here, withered oak leaves, red and white Camellia and "mozu" (shrike).
