Description:
Edition 192/470. Takasawa's bijin-ga prints are highly sought-after and rare. It is also rare to see bijin-ga prints in this large "double-oban" size. This print was issued as a pair with the print "Shark-Spot Pattern", which also has the same edition number. It is said that Takasawa's wife modelled for all his bijin prints. Takasawa's white Japanese and English signature are in the image area at the lower right, and signed in pencil in the bottom margin (right). Carver: Maeda; Printer: Sato (lower left margin). Publisher seal: Yuyudo (lower right margin). Complete with original folders. This item is from my personal collection and is not for sale.
