Description:
Edition: HC. Takasawa's bijin-ga prints are highly sought-after and rare. It is also rare to see bijin-ga prints in this large 'double-oban' size. This print was issued as a pair with the print "Hair", which also had the same edition number. It is said that Takasawa's wife modeled for all his bijin prints. Takasawa's white Japanese and English signature is in the image area at the lower right, and signed in pencil in the bottom margin (right). Carver: Maeda (lower left margin); Publisher seal: Yuyudo (lower right margin). Due to the large size I will ship this print rolled in a sturdy tube.
