Description:

Senjafuda (also commonly known as `Senshafuda' or `Senja Fuda') are small Japanese woodblock prints used as votive* cards that were placed on the walls, ceilings and fixtures at shrines and temples by visitors. A tradition from the Edo era, they became very popular as a collectable item around the late Meiji and Taisho periods, with many 'Nousatsu Kai' (Senjafuda Associations) being set up to make and swap senjafuda. * - Votive: Expressing or symbolizing a wish, desire, or vow. Note: This item will be shipped for free via standard airmail (not via Express as stated during the check-out process).
