Description:

This is a print from a rarely available series on Korean customs and traditions. Having been published during the wartime era, the resulting low demand (negligible foreign sales) would have resulted in the edition size having been very small. This print is still tipped to its original display folder that includes a full description of the scene (see image below), thus it is from the first (and probably only) edition. Scene description: A "tobihan" is a traditional seasaw that was used by young girls during the early spring season (while boys flew kites). Published by Unsodo. Artist's signature at lower left of image. Note: A purchaser of the majority of the prints will receive the original blue canvas 'tatou' folder that houses the full series of prints.
