Description:

A scene of traditional Japanese 'mochi' (rice cake) making, in oban yoko-e format, by Takeji Asano. Red Takeji seal lower right margin. English and Japanese title in bottom margin. This print is a rare first edition, as indicated by the printing of the date at the left of the bottom margin. No subsequent editions have been published. In the left margin are Unsodo publisher's seal, Sugimoto printer's seal, and Mori carver's seal.
