Title "Sunset at Tomonotsu, Inland Sea" (RARE Variant) ("Seto Naikai, Tomonostu") Date 1940 (or earlier?). A very RARE variant of Watanabe's commonly seen 1940 Koitsu print (see second image below for sid-by-side comparison). Series na Publisher Watanabe Shozaburo Seal, Carver/Printer 6mm seal, and re-stamped 7mm (PRE-1957) Image Size 9 3/8 x 14 1/4 Impression Fine. Superbly executed "bokashi" shading. Condition Very good++. Clean backside. (Tiny expert repair to nick in far left margin, minor rubbing.) Reference/Illus na Comments A very rarely seen variant of Watanabe's commonly seen 1940 Koitsu print; undated, but likely pre-war. Item # AT-28
