Thursday, 28 December 2006 Breathtaking woodblock print by Koitsu Tsuchiya, Maruyana Park in the Snow. Probably printed posthumously circa 1940s or 1950s. The master printmaker translates his art into a true feeling of a snowy day. Strong colors, expert color shading. Unframed and full margins. Very good condition, a small paper remnant at the verso upper left corner. Oban image size is 15 1/4 x 10 inches.
