Monday, 27 October 2008 Title Outdoor Sketch kuchi-e Artist Toshikata Mizuno 1866-1908 Biography Seal Artist's seal (Toshikata). Dated 1903. Publisher Bungei Kurabu. Medium/Technique Woodblock print. Impression Excellent - very good. Colors Excellent - very good. Condition Very good … Light toning, two vertical folds usual for kuchi-e, slightly creased, a smudge on the lower left, not backed. Description "Bijin no Kogai Shasei". A beauty is drawing sketches in the outdoor. Illustration for a novel in Bungei Kurabu vol.9, #9. Bungei Kurabu was a very popular literary magazine in Meiji-Showa era. Width Item 12.0 inches = 30.5 cm Height Item 8.9 inches = 22.5 cm
