Description:
Mt. Fuji and Village: Original Signed Watercolor- 1940s Lovely, framed watercolor from “Staton’s Galleries- Rare Etchings and Engravings, Philadelphia, PA”, pre-1950. The image is delicately colored in pastel pinks and grays. The painting shows Mt. Fuji, in Japan, probably at sunset or sunrise, because of the pale pink, gray and white colors. There is a little village sleeping at the foot, and a beautiful reflection in the water. The first photo shows a little too dark. The second photo, with frame included, is more accurate color representation. The painting is signed in pencil in the lower right corner, and the name appears to be "K. Teranchy", but I'm not sure of the ending of the last name. The image is 11 x 8 inches, and the framed dimensions are about 16 x 13 inches, and the frame is nice- a bamboo look. The frame is in excellent condition.
