This an unframed watercolor picture that measures 8 1/2" by 12". It is Japanese and is signed Terauchi Manjiro. It is not dated that I can see. It is in good condition just needs a nice frame. I am receiving several emails about this picture. Rather than cancel this auction I am going to contact all those who have bid especially current high bidder. When I researched this before listing I was told it was by an artist Terauchi Manjiro. THE SIGNATURE ON THE PAINTING IS SIMPLY TERAUCHI. I was told that is how he signed his work. One of the emails referred me to a site by a party who feels that all art signed Terauchi is not that of the original artist. Therefore, I want to make it clear that I do not know for sure that this is the work of Terauchi Manjiro and do not wish to mislead anyone. I am not an art expert. I will be happy to email any close-us of the signature or parts of the picture requested. Sorry for any confusion. I have received several emails asking to see the signature close up on this painting. If you would like me to email please contact me and I will do so. Some of those people have emailed back to tell me they think this is a painting by the real artist Terauchi. I would think most people bidding on this were looking for this particular name on ebay and know what they are looking for.
