Monday, 12 June 2006 Haori (Japanese Formal Coat) by Shimura Tatsumi. Original Japanese woodblock print circa 1979. Fine color, condition and impression. A few small light spots near left edge. Print has never been framed and comes with original presentation folio. Extremely nice details. Strong texture and ink bleedthrough on fine Japanese washi. Large size measures 16.6 x 19.4 inches. Tatsumi characters and red artist's seal in lower right of image. Kentaro Maeda carver's seal, Ritsuzou Sato printer's seal, and red Tatsumi inspection seal in right margin. Jujudodehan publisher's seal in left margin. Exquisite.
