Description:
This is a lovely original woodblock print of ducks in the winter by shin hanga master Ohara Shoson. The print is in beautiful condition, apparently never framed. It bears the Watanabe "D" cartouche (1931-1941) in the lower righthand margin, indicating that this is a true first edition print. It is quite a bit larger than the typical 9 x 14 Shoson prints, measuring about 11 1/2 x 16 plus full margins (dai oban). Wonderful color, impression and condition.
